TBH that SMG is cray - 38-40 damage, wth?
And the C version has 0.3s ready time - that is a) fvcking overpowered, and b) contradicting UBI's own words concerning ready time. Remember the "+0.3s for all shotguns" hype? Which should have been the 0.3s+ rdy time hype, but anyway - that smg draws as fast as my px4. Bad news. SMGrecons are being more and more overpowered.

Wish they would tell us the magazine sizes. They say that the pistol has a 'respectable' magazine size, but what the hell is that compared to?
I'm a bit confused about the fire rate. Surely low fire rate (below 600RPM for the standard SMG, pretty sure that's the slowest of all the full autos in the game) means less kick? And yes, the C variant is indeed cray. I would even go as far as to say it was cray cray.  0.3s is the ready time on my P45, ie, instantaneous. This is EXACTLY the reason why shotguns got that stupid ready time increase, because you could stop running and immediately fire, then run again :PAnd Nast, it looks like you were exactly right about the Extended Magazine option for the GRFS SMG. *Sigh*

Any information on when they're out? Based on everyone's opinions on the official forums, these are going to cost 47k RP.
Standard SMG doesn't have the slowest fire rate, but it's damn well near to it (the winner of that goes to the standard SAR-21, at 550RPM)

Well I must say the SV versions look kinda neat - maybe put that ridiculous Nemesis muzzle break on them, they might actually be useful...
As for the rest of them, thanks to the balance guys for the low control. I have a feeling these are going to be the new OP41 of the assault/spec, high damage but also huge kicking in all directions. Hopefully.

Yeah, the general them of this whole tier so far seems to be 'royally fcuk control'

They look overpowered indeed, haven't checked the in-game stats yet so my opinion may change. I already hate the F2000 for instance since it's overpowered (some people long-range with the F2000, w t f ...) so yeah, not quite sure if I even want to encounter these in-game.

As I said somewhere else, the SPAS will be nerfed. No question about that, the question is "when". But I guess in a timely manner.

Regarding the sniping F2000, the recipe is simple:
F2k Original. Grip. Muzzle brake (break?). And a 3.5x assault scope.
Use semi fire mode. Deal out headshots. ~60 Dmg, obviously 2-shots recons, and sometimes specialists as well.  

Which is also (to get back on topic) the reason why I decided not to buy the Tier 8 assault rifle, the Mk17. Check this comparison out:

As you see, except for high damage/shot, the Mk16 SV and the F2k are still on par, if not superior to the Mk17/Mk17SV.
Mk16 SV still has highest control (important for full-auto sniping).
F2k is fastest to kill while having decent full-auto control, and is superior in CQC, where you don't ADS anyway. Also, ready time, just saying.

I hate to be a butt, but you TTK calculations are a bit off. When you divide 60 by the RoF, you work out the time between each shot being fired. However, with the first shot, there's no time between clicking and the shot going off (assuming you aren't sprinting or doing anything else to delay shooting), so you ignore one shot.

For example, the MK17 SV TTK is: (60/550)*2 (we'll assume you're against an Assault or Specialist, or an insert Recon)=0.218s.

So the actual TTK for the weapons is (not going to use a table, tried to before and ended up losing everything I typed )

MK17 SV: 0.218s
Mk17: 0.218s
MK16 SV: 0.387s
'Sniper' F2k: 0.225s
'Light' F2k: 0.225s

Not a huge difference, but it's still a difference :3 (it's worth noting that I didn't work this out myself, I got it from a Wrel video ) The TTK still ends up pretty close though. And, like you said Nast, ready time

Actually either way makes sense, cause, say you got multiple targets and full-auto spray all of them... then that "last 'wait'" needs to be considered... i guess. I usually die at that point

Actually I meant that the way you did it was Wait-Shot-Wait-Shot Of course, in actual gameplay, you'll have ready time to deal with, giving you a looong Wait before the Shot, you'll be missing some shots, you'll be hitting the head, getting crits, hitting arms and legs, and in spray and pray you are, as you said, likely to continue shooting until you're sure he's dead
