Has anybody had any experience with this real-money ingame currency? How does it work, (does it work), is it worth it, and what about the moral aspect - is it to be considered pay2win if one buys something which he/she could earn by a week's worth of "work" aka farming?

I've put £12 into the game (so far), to get the AC Headgear, Titan Armour and Avatar, so I have a bit of experience. I'm not sure what you mean by 'does it work', but whether or not it's worth it depends on what you're going for.

If, for example, you're going for a 6P41 (or whatever you crazy Specialists/Assaults like), it's probably worth it. A 50% EXP/RP boost would probably be worth it too. A low level weapon though, like the Para, is probably less worth it.

As for the moral aspect, I think it depends again on what you want to buy. If you want to buy 500 toughness inserts, then yeah, that's probably P2W. If you've put a lot of time and effort into the game, you really enjoy the game and you want to help it grow by buying some novelty item, then it's not really P2W.
Spending about £40 to buy half the guns in the game though IS pretty P2W though, so it really does depend on what you're buying.

My opinion on this is simple. If there is something in the game you can't get without the ingame-currency that somehow influences gameplay then it's pay2win. Since this is not the case in GRO I don't think this game is pay2win and its totally fine to buy and spend Ghost Coins on anything anyone wants. If that is to unlock all the guns or buy a ton of inserts thats imo ok because you can get those if you either invest time or money, wich is your choice and even someone who never spends a single Ghost Coin is on a level playing field with someone who would buy all the guns in the game with GC because there are the level-restrictions for those.

Actually we should thank people who spend a ton of money on GC because thats what keeps the game alive, so in my opinion there is nothing wrong with purchasing stuff with GC.
