That's what Linux looks like? It's so... clean, so uncluttered.
But yeah, if you ignore some irritating technical problems, Raidcall is great Very Happy

Technical Problems? I had none... what I think is awesome here is that normally it's rather tricky to run .exe files on Linux - because exe is basically a proprietary M$ file format, one would assume raidcall.exe always automatically thinks it is being called from a windows environment. If that is not the case, it might look for certain libraries that it obviously can't find on a Linux machine, 'cause they are only sold with windows, and thus it would crash. Which it didn't, which is great.

Yeah, Linux (in this case, Ubuntu 12.04 with Gnome) is rather uncluttered - if I minimize every window, there's just the desktop background and that transparent bar at the top. There is a pop-up "Launcher" bar to the left, it kinda works like the Win95-XP start menu and bottom bar, only better because it's actually intuitive.
Apart from that, you can just toggle into a non-GUI terminal and do everything from there - great for people that learned to use computers in the 1960's.

Also works really nice in dual-booting - you'll be asked at startup wheter you want Ubuntu or Windos.
Check it out here.

I constantly have issues logging on, also it is not really user-friendly in terms of group management and the private messages aren't shown-game which is a shame! Enough trashtalking ... the voice chat sound quality is pretty awesome and it doesn't take a lot of bandwidth. An other remark is that my headphones are acting up, they do work if I keep the cord in place by holding it with my mouth ... I feel like an idiot but it beats scaring housemates with gun-shot noises Razz

I don't know if this will work for you Mortem, but I fixed my login problems by going to System Settings, then choosing the option to sign out and close when I click Close. I don't know if you've changed any of the system settings, but that seemed to work for me.

That was amongst the first things I changed but thanks for mentioning it anyway Smile
